U.S. Declares Bald Eagles No Longer Threatened.

Looks like I'll have to dust off my trusty 2100 classic BB gun next time I make a trip to the park to track down that elusive eagle. Since they are no longer consider endangered I am taking that to mean it is alright to hunt them. Nothing steps up your 4th of July cook out like some roasted bald eagle.

well my friend, there are no war crimes, there are only acts of war. put that in your corn cob pipe and smoke it.

While I do enjoy the corn cob pipe I tend to agree with you.
I think von Clauswitz said it best when talking about war “All action takes place, so to speak, in a kind of twilight, which like a fog or moonlight, often tends to make things seem grotesque and larger than they really are.”

The Clausewitz argument is valid, but I think he is speaking more to the unfathomable nature of the brutality of war. Things are brutal and things are horrific but the mind can make them even more so. The base notion that war needs to be war, not a winning of hearts and minds police action is the main argument of Barbie. Thus his position that the notion of war crimes is laughable rings true. Gen. Patton gets literal with the same idea: "There is only one tactical principle which is not subject to change. It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of wound, death, and destruction on the enemy in the minimum amount of time."

After speaking to directors at the Cleveland and Akron Zoos, there will be an eagle hunt later this year to go along with Boo at the Zoo, should be loads of fun for all.
